About this resource

This 8-step demo shows how to tell the platform who works in learning and development. You'll navigate to Learn > Groups, open the group that holds your L and D team, and turn on the Represents L and D toggle. Then you'll go to Learn > Enrollment, open each full-time L and D staff member, and enable Dedicated Learning Practitioner. Once configured, People in L and D (ISO 6.46) counts every group member once, while FTE in L and D (ISO 6.16) counts a Dedicated Learning Practitioner as 1.0 FTE and any other L and D group member as 0.5. Group membership is not dated, so figures reflect current status.

Questions this resource answers

What does turning on Represents L and D for a group do?
It flags that group as your L and D team. Every member of that group is then counted in the People in L and D metric (ISO 6.46), each person counted once.
How is FTE in L and D calculated?
A person marked as a Dedicated Learning Practitioner counts as 1.0 FTE. Any other member of an L and D group counts as 0.5 FTE (ISO 6.16).
What if I don't have an L and D group yet?
You can create one using the + button in Learn > Groups, add your L and D team members, then turn on the Represents L and D toggle.
Are People in L and D and FTE in L and D figures historical or current?
They reflect current status only. Group membership is not dated, so the counts show who is in the group right now.
