About this resource

This 5-step interactive demo shows moderators how to approve posts in a Stream. When a Stream requires approval, new posts wait in the moderation queue instead of appearing in the feed immediately. Moderators navigate to Streams in the top menu, open the Moderation tab (visible only to moderators), select Posts awaiting approval, and then approve or decline each post. Approving a post publishes it to the feed; declining removes it from the queue.

Questions this resource answers

Who can see the Moderation tab in a Stream?
Only moderators see the Moderation tab. It also displays a count of items waiting for review.
What happens when I decline a post?
Declining a post removes it from the moderation queue; it does not appear in the feed.
Where do I find posts waiting for approval?
Go to Streams in the top menu, open the Moderation tab, then select Posts awaiting approval.
Are join requests handled in the same place as post approvals?
No. Join requests for private streams are on a separate tab within the moderation area.
