About this resource

This interactive demo walks through making a Stream private and controlling who can access it. Starting from the admin left menu, you navigate to Streams under Engagement, open the target Stream, and change the Community Type to Private on the Details tab. After saving, you switch to the Members tab, search for users by name, select them from the results, and save again. Only added members can view and post in a private Stream.

Open the Stream, go to the Details tab, select the Community Type dropdown, choose Private, and then save.
How do I add members to a private Stream?
After setting the Stream to Private, go to the Members tab, search for a user by name, select them from the results, and save.
Do I need to save after each tab when configuring a private Stream?
Yes. You should save after updating the Community Type on the Details tab and again after adding members on the Members tab.
