About this resource
This interactive demo walks you through the Step Activity Audit Report, a tool for tracking individual learner progress across steps. You'll learn how the report is organized by learner name and ID, how Step Data breaks down each step's activity, and how the 'Report all step activity' option controls whether every attempt or only the highest grade is shown. The demo also covers step versions, the Appendix, and how correct and incorrect answers are highlighted in the questions and answers section for easy review.
Questions this resource answers
- What does the 'Report all step activity' option do?
- When checked, every play-through of each step appears in the report. When unchecked, only the entry with the highest grade is shown for each step.
- What are step versions in the audit report?
- Each time a step is edited and resaved, a new version is created. The report shows which version each learner completed, so you can confirm whether they are up to date.
- What information is in the Appendix?
- The Appendix contains step details—including step type, questions, correct answers highlighted in green, and incorrect answers highlighted in grey—that you can reference when reviewing learner results.
- How are learners identified in the report?
- Each learner has their own section that starts with their name and ID number for easy identification.
