About this resource
This interactive demo walks you through using the Crossword AI Assistant to automatically generate crossword words and hints from your own source material. Starting from the Steps section under Learn, you open a crossword step, paste in a policy, article, or lesson, and select Generate words and hints. The AI produces suggestions in seconds. You then review, edit, or delete any word or hint before saving your configuration. If the Save button is grey, Generative AI must be enabled in Settings first.

- What source material can I paste in to generate crossword content?
- A policy, article, or lesson works well. The AI only uses the text you paste.
- How long does it take to generate words and hints?
- It takes a few seconds after you select Generate words and hints.
- Can I edit the words and hints the AI creates?
- Yes. You can edit any word or hint, or delete it before saving.
- What should I do if the Save Configuration button is grey?
- Turn on Generative AI in Settings to enable the button.
