About this resource
This demo walks you through the third and final stage of building a scenario in the Scenario Editor. You'll learn how to open Connector Properties for each conversation path, enter positive point values for ideal choices, apply negative (penalty) point values for poor choices, and leave neutral paths at zero. You'll also see how point values display in green or red above each path's gear icon. The demo concludes by introducing character reactions to add personality to the scenario conversation.
Questions this resource answers
- How do I add points to a conversation path in the Scenario Editor?
- Select the gear icon (or the numbers above it) on the path to open Connector Properties, then enter a value in the 'Reward or penalty point value' field and save.
- How do I subtract points for a wrong answer in a scenario?
- Enter the numeric value with a subtraction sign preceding it (e.g., -1) in the point value field of the Connector Properties window.
- What is the default point value for a new conversation path?
- All new conversation paths default to a neutral zero, which issues zero points as a neutral response.
- What does answer weight mean in the Scenario Editor?
- Answer weight is an optional advanced setting that determines how likely a pathway will be followed after a learner chooses their answer, with 1 being the lowest weight.
