About this resource
This interactive demo walks LemonadeLXP admins through the full process of setting up a tutorial course for new learners. You'll navigate the Admin Panel to select a course, assign it the required 'Intro' category (creating it if needed), confirm the course has exactly one graded step, assign the correct learner groups, publish the course, and verify it's the only course in the Intro category. Completing these steps ensures every new learner plays a step from your tutorial course during onboarding.
Questions this resource answers
- What category must the tutorial course be assigned to in LemonadeLXP?
- The course must be assigned to the 'Intro' category. If it doesn't exist yet, you can create it via Manage Categories in the Admin Panel.
- Why should the tutorial course have only one graded step?
- Having only one graded step ensures all learners have the same tutorial experience. With two or more steps, the system may randomly choose a different step each playthrough, and the step must be graded so LemonadeLXP can issue a completion mark.
- Which learner group should be assigned to the tutorial course?
- LemonadeLXP recommends assigning your base 'Learners' or 'All Staff' group so no learner is missed.
- How do I confirm my tutorial course is set up correctly?
- Verify the course has the Intro category, one graded step, the correct group assigned, is published, and is the only course in the Intro category by using the category filter on the Courses page.
