About this resource
Before you can schedule a session, three things must be in place. First, build a StepSession step and add it to a course — only courses with a session step appear in the Sessions area. Second, make sure the right groups have access to that course, because learners only see sessions for courses they can access. Third, add your instructors before enrollment begins; they are named in invites and get their own Instructor Panel. If the course or session step is missing, the Sessions tree will be empty and no session can be created.
Questions this resource answers
- Why is my Sessions tree empty and I can't create a session?
- The Sessions tree is empty when no course contains a StepSession step. Add a session-type step to a course first.
- Why don't learners see any sessions?
- Learners only see sessions for courses they can access. Make sure the correct groups are assigned to the course.
- When should I add instructors to a session?
- Add instructors before learners start to enroll. Instructors are named in the invites and receive access to the Instructor Panel.
- What do I need before I can schedule a session?
- You need a course with a StepSession step, learners assigned to that course via groups, and instructors added to the session.
