About this resource
This guide clarifies seven things that trip up first-time readers of Learning Health and Analytics Explorer. It explains the difference between 'Setup required' and 'Not yet measured,' why 'In range' is not a goal, and why Overview cards won't match single-month scorecards. It also covers why Analytics Explorer appears empty without reporting lines loaded, how learner data follows people when they change teams, and why report dates use UTC with an exclusive end date. A note reminds users the tools are an early preview and some labels may still change.
Questions this resource answers
- What is the difference between 'Setup required' and 'Not yet measured'?
- 'Setup required' means you need to turn a feature on. 'Not yet measured' means there is nothing to count yet or the platform cannot see it. Neither one is a zero.
- Why does the Overview card number not match a single month in the scorecard?
- The Overview card counts each learner once across the entire window, while the scorecard counts each month separately, so the totals will differ.
- Why is Analytics Explorer showing no results when I search for a manager?
- If searching for a manager returns nobody, your reporting structure is not loaded. Check your directory sync or set managers in Enrollment.
- How should I set the date range to capture all of a calendar month in reports?
- Report dates are in UTC and the To date is not included. To get all of September, run the report from September 1 to October 1.
